VISIT THE MUSEUM

Last Sunday I went to the museum with my classmates and my teacher Haley. We were planning to go to the farm but the weather not was adequate and best we went to the "National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum".

This place is awesome because have many things to see and enjoy. for example there have a beautifuks gardens where all people can walking and take photos of the nature. and also this place have many exhibitions of different cultures of the American West.

This museum offer history, art, even shopping because have a souvenirs store.

I was walking with my classmates around the museum, and I loved the photographs, the paints but principately I loved the gardens because are a amazing places where the nature shows its maxim expression. I taked many photos to can showing to my family and friends when I get back to Mexico.

I think that places like this its should to be shown to everybody, because the nature is beautiful and this world need appreciate and careful more the great landscapes that the nature offer us.

I liked so much this visit and I hope that after, I can visit more places like this and can showing its to all the people because sometimes the people don´t aprecciate and value the nature because they keep enclosed in their daily routine.

I hope can enjoy my last days here because its a beautiful place, Oklahoma is a beautiful city, OU is a amazing school, I have the best teachers and for these reasons I am a fortunate person.

FREE WEEK!

This week we has a long vacations... The Wednesday I sleeped almost all day.

Today I went to charity event and helped to serve the food to homeless. All my classmates were very happy and me too.

The food was very tasty, ours thanksgiving lunch!! The lunch did consist in turkey, green beans, potatoes with gravy sauce, carrots, marmalade, stew and bread.

Today we met a Mexican person, he told us about the american life and the difficulties to adapt at the country.. He told us that miss the Mexican food.

After the meal, we singed with ours new Mexican friend. We sing a famous song, whose name is "Cielito lindo" and all people claped at last. Even one man taked a photo and he told us that will publish this photo in the newspaper the next Monday. We will be famous!! jajaja

Then I went shopping with my friends to the "Penn square" but this mall was still closed and I was impressed because there were so many people waiting to enter the mall. 

Then we went to a Vietnamese food restaurant ... because our friend Nam recommend this place to eat. Now I love Vietnamese food, it's delicious! It is very healthy and tasty. After we walked for the "Brick-down" and my friends did take many photos.

We returned to the mall and we were are seeing and walking around, but my friends and me not had much money and cannot buy many things. I bought one dress, that cost was 4.50 dll but when I did pay the price was 2.00 dll and I though: "Oh my God"...

I hope that tomorrow will can go to the mall with my friends again, because I want buy souvenirs to my family and friends in Mexico. In days like these I feel very happy, I think that this day was a good Thanksgiving-day!

LEARNING FOR LIFE

In these last two weeks here, I felt very happy and excited, sometimes tired because I sleep late to be able to talk with my family or friends in Mexico, but always trying to give the better in my classes.

The last two days I could talk to my family although the video-chat. The photo of down is of my family (father, mother, brother and nep) I love and miss them so much!!

Last weekend, on Sunday I went to a Latin party, in the apartment of a French girl. My classmates and I met her last Thursday in the conversation in Spanish, and today she invited us to the party.

The party was fun because there was many people from different countries, for example from Uruguay, Colombia, France, Slovakia, Mexico and of course the United States. At first we all talk about our interests, likes and dislikes and other interesting topics. After us tried to play a game, but it was difficult because not everyone knows many words in English or in Spanish, it was like inventing a new language 'Spanglish' lol.

On the Sunday I go to the shopping with my friends, It was funny but I had a conflict with the gifts or souvenirs to my family and friends in Mexico because I have a big family: two brothers, one sister, three nephews, one niece, my mom and dad, then I should take the best decisions for give  something that be cute and functional for theirs. And also I think that i should buy something for my teachers in Mexico, because they has been of great support for me in this adventure.

Now I feel very strange in the hotel because last week this place was full of people, mostly military and now everyone went and my friends and I are alone in this big place. This week will be very short, because it will be a Thanksgiving holiday's, and I hope it will be a fun week and that all the people in the world will have a good day of thanksgiving, full of peace, love and happiness.

In this  time I was learning many things not only of the English language, also I learned about the human relations, and the value of the friendship and I think that it is the most important in the life.

MY NEWS FRIENDS

After that I arrived here, I began to meet persons, even I don't knew much about my partner of room, Olimpia, but after the little time I met her better and now she and me we good friends.

My others 'Proyecta classmates' are very cool, alright I miss they and still not leaves this place, But I know that is difficult coincide again because all us are of differents estates of Mexico. For this reason I want enjoy my time here with all my classmates.

In my grammar class I have two friends of Kuwai, two friends of Vietnam and one friend of China.

I like talking with they, but is difficult for me because their pronunciation is faster than mine. In my first class I met to beautiful girl whose name is Monai. She is very smart and cute, she lives in Kuwai, one island near to Dubai, and she like the same things to me, for example: read books and play video-games. 

The guys of Vietnam: Nam an Beny are very funny, always are talking in the class and the teachers should call their attention alltime.

In my vocabulary class I met to Rick, he is a shy guy. And sometimes he doesn't go to the class, so he have bad grades.

To will finished my blog, I want write about the problem that I had with the pay: already  all is solved! and I am very happy for that. Now I will enjoy my stay here and I will to take advantage of this scholarship to learning all I can.

MY CLASSES IN OU

I like much my classes because I have the best teachers of the world.

Coming up next I will writting about each one of my classes in the following lines.

In my first class (to all students of proyecta) I am learning much things about the English languaje (speaking, reading and listening)

Althought I love reading books never had read books in English. Then was difficult for my begin to read "The scarlet letter". But I tried and after the first chapter I found it more interesting and I liked. I hope the finaly of the book will be it I wait. In the first moment I felt very nervious and still I have a little of afraid to participate in classe, but I will make my best effort to be better.

In my grammar class I known amazing people: Monai one girl from Kuwai that told me that my name is very famous in her country. Nam one guy from Vietnam that is very interesting and him like talk with us. And other guys but now i don´t remember their names.

In my vocabulary class I learned new words and also practiced my pronunciation. I had a confuse with two words whose meaning it´s very same, the words are: "recede" and "revert", but after in the class the teacher explained the difference and I understood better the use that I can do of those words. 

All is great but I have a problem and I don't let to think in it: I can't make the payment of the course because I had a problem with my debit card. Even the last saturday I went to the Bank of America to withdraw all my money and to be able to pay today, but the executive told me that can not made the transaction because my debit card is not "Master Card". 

Now I feel very worry and I think that I will feel same until the I can make the payment. And I think the Payment will be until the next week because Miss. Vicki Farley isn´t in the school for now. I hope that she get back soon.

In the last weekend I had much adventures:

First the saturday I went to the tour for the campus, because I wanted fix the problem with my debit card and I walked a long distance, from the hotel to the bank, not is that I love walk but the buses was not in service because was the football game... and I had to walk. Now I know all the campus and think that not I will be lost again, like the last thursday when I did lost with my friend Marifer, when we went to the bank, because she have the same problem that me.

The sunday I went to "The Outlet" with my partnies and my teachers. an I descovered that Haley is like a mom to us. These day walked and saw very things, all was beauty and cute but I didn't buy many things. In the black friday I hope that already I have done the payment and that all my worries have disappeared.

MY FIRST DAY IN OU

Hello, my name is Fátima Moreno and I am a fortunate person because I won a scholarship for study in Oklahoma University.

When I received the notice I felt very happy, but my mother doesn't felt the same, the notice made her sad because she thought that I leave for much time. 

I made the proces very faster, I obtained my passport and my visa, since that moment I felt very independent. I am a independent woman.

The trip to get here I did with my friend Oli Reyes, She is a good and glad person. We had a lot funny travel. 

I lived for first time the experience of travel in airplane, and now I say that is very excite but is'nt comfortable. 

The housing in a awesome hotel whose name is National Center for Developmental Education (NCDE). In this hotel I share room with mi friend. 

The food in the hotel is very delicious, I start thinking that if I continue eating this food I will return fatter to my house, but I will don't worry, jaja and will be happy.

Now, I am living a experience only one in my life, because is a big opportunity.

In my first day I felt much nervous, and afraid, but in the same time I felt very excited.
